THE PETERSON HOMESTEAD

Our Heavenly Father has created such a wonderful home for us and here is a place where our children and grandchildren can gather and share their love for one another. It is a little bit of Heaven on earth. The bees and the animals and the birds are a part of our family and as they share with us, we will share with you. Welcome one and all...

The Peterson Homestead
Home
My parents moved onto this land in 1932 a couple of months after they were married. My father's mom, Rhoda Beardall had been a widow for 31 years and had offered each of her 11 children a chance to own the property (almost an acre) free of charge if they would just build a home and live next door to her. Not one of her children took her up on the "deal" except her 11th child - my father. The house was purchased in Silver City - an old abandoned mining town for $200 and brought to this place in 16 pieces. My 4 siblings were all born here and all of us grew up on this land. I purchased it from my mother in 2004 and slowly but surely have been working to make it a homestead for my family.

Welcome to the Homestead

Here is a place for family and friends - even the winged, furry (or hairy) and feathery kinds. Come and relax and see what is happening... You are entering the land of milk and honey (and eggs!)
